Who I am
This website, athuliyjujacob.com, is the personal website of Athul Iyju Jacob, based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. For any privacy question, email aijacob@oldport.ae.
What I collect
When you use the contact form I receive the details you enter: your name, email address, company, the service you are interested in and your message. I do not ask for sensitive personal data, and I do not sell personal data.
How the contact form works
Form submissions are delivered to my inbox through FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), which processes the message only to deliver it. Please do not include confidential information you do not want sent by email.
How I use your information
Only to reply to your enquiry and, if we work together, to communicate about that work. I keep messages only as long as needed for that purpose or as required by law.
AI twin chat
The A.I. Jacob chat (Athul's AI Twin) answers from public information on this website. In on-device mode your questions never leave your browser. If AI mode is switched on, your messages are sent to a Cloudflare Worker that generates the answer. Text of the conversation (your messages, the replies, the page you were on, your country from your connection, and your first name if you choose to give it) is saved for up to 90 days so Athul can read it and reply to you in person in the same chat, then deleted automatically. The chat is linked to a random ID kept in your browser, not to your identity. To have a conversation deleted sooner, email aijacob@oldport.ae. In Talk mode, your voice is sent to the same Worker only to be transcribed and the reply is turned into speech; audio recordings are not stored, only the transcribed text. Talk mode uses your microphone only after you allow it and only while a voice chat is active. Please do not share sensitive personal information in the chat.
Cookies and analytics
This site uses Yandex Metrica (Yandex LLC) to understand how visitors use it. Metrica sets analytics cookies and collects data such as pages viewed, clicks, scrolling, time on page, referring site, approximate location, device and browser. Session Replay (Webvisor) records anonymised interactions with pages to improve the design; text typed into form fields is masked. This site does not set advertising cookies. You can block cookies in your browser or opt out with the Yandex Metrica opt-out browser add-on at yandex.com/support/metrica/general/opt-out.html. Your browser may also store small technical preferences, such as the AI twin chat ID and your first name if you give it.
Third-party content
Some pages load images from Unsplash and link to external websites such as LinkedIn, Behance, press publications and my games. Those services have their own privacy policies.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data you have sent me by emailing aijacob@oldport.ae. I will respond within a reasonable time.
